Torchwood: the aftermath

Honestly, those were the most depressing 5 hours of television I've ever watched.

Dear BBC,

What was the point? Almost nowhere was there anything like the true Torchwood we came to know and love. I mean, seriously, the increase in Gwen support is a clear indication of this.

Really, you took the "Doctor Who for adults" notion - I got vibes of the Master's earth-ending and Martha/Gwen parallels - and you made it so very dark, and you tried to rid the world of 10% of its children. You made it seem real. Torchwood felt REAL and it hurt.

Ianto is dead. A fandom is in mourning. Jack is an evil bastard and a fandom is in shock. Gwen was brilliant and, though I can't believe I'm actually saying it, the only thing that came even close to redeeming this show.

No love, not quite hate, nearly anger, almost pity, mostly annoyance and sadness,
Kitty
